For Clarke, a recent call-up to the majors with only 16 games under his belt, this isn't his first highlight-reel grab. Drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 MLB Draft from Cal State Northridge, Clarke is quickly making a name for himself with his defensive prowess. Adding to his impressive recent performances, Clarke also made a sensational running catch against the Baltimore Orioles, preventing a hit from Jorge Mateo with a full-speed dash and well-timed grab just days before his latest heroics. He crashed into the wall on that catch and barely held on.
