Antonio Brown Wanted for Attempted Murder in Miami-Dade County

Antonio Brown, the former NFL superstar, is facing serious legal trouble in Miami-Dade County, Florida. A warrant for his arrest has been issued on charges of attempted murder with a firearm, stemming from an incident that occurred on May 16th outside a boxing event.

The warrant, signed by a judge on June 11th, alleges Brown was involved in a shooting following an altercation at an event hosted by streamer Adin Ross. Initial reports indicate that shots were fired during a confrontation captured in part by social media videos.

Brown initially claimed he was the victim, stating on X that he was "jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm." He added that he was temporarily detained but released after giving his account to police. He made no mention of gunfire in his initial statement.

However, the situation escalated after further investigation. According to the warrant, officers responding to reports of gunshots were informed by witnesses that Brown was the shooter. Video evidence reportedly shows Brown engaged in a physical altercation, taking a security officer's gun, and appearing to chase after another man while firing shots. Cell phone video allegedly shows the victim dodging gunfire.

Adding another layer to the narrative, Brown later claimed in a livestream with Ross that he suffered from CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) and had no memory of the incident. "I blacked out, Adin. I don't know what happened," he stated.

This isn't Brown's first brush with the law in Florida. He was previously arrested in Broward County in October 2023 for alleged failure to pay child support.

Brown's NFL career spanned 12 seasons, including a successful run with the Pittsburgh Steelers, brief stints with the New England Patriots, and a Super Bowl victory with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His career was often overshadowed by off-field controversies.
