The 2025 NBA Conference Finals are set, promising a thrilling showdown for basketball supremacy. After a hard-fought Game 7 victory over the Denver Nuggets, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder will represent the Western Conference, facing off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
This marks the Thunder's fifth Conference Finals appearance since their arrival in Oklahoma City in 2008. They'll enjoy home-court advantage against a Timberwolves team eager to capitalize on their momentum after eliminating the Golden State Warriors.
Meanwhile, in the East, the Indiana Pacers are set to battle the New York Knicks for a spot in the NBA Finals. The Knicks haven't reached this stage since 2000, adding extra weight to this series.
The Pacers, after a dominant showing in the previous rounds, are hungry for redemption after a disappointing sweep by the Boston Celtics last season. However, the Celtics' chances were impacted by a significant injury to Jayson Tatum in Game 4 of their series against Indiana.
The Conference Finals action tips off with the Timberwolves visiting the Thunder on May 20th, and the Pacers traveling to face the Knicks on May 21st. Games will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and TNT. The series are scheduled to run through June 2nd, if necessary.
The winners of each conference will then advance to the NBA Finals, scheduled to begin on June 5th, with ABC carrying the coverage. The quest for the championship trophy promises high stakes basketball and unforgettable moments.
